Welcome!

Hair with Nen is located within a beautiful little boutique on the shores of Lake Taupō.

We understand how important time for you is, so when you open the door you will be greeted with a warm welcome. I will then bring you through to your seat, before taking you through a consultation to determine the plan of action. Then it’s time to relax and unwind with a hot coffee, or tea in hand, followed by one of my sensational head massage at the basin. You will be pampered personally and professionally.

The salon has a great vibe with indoor plants, lots of natural light and cute little spaces for you to sit and unwind while your colour processes.

At Hair with Nen, we are heavily invested in continued education to master the skill necessary to create your dream hair.

We provide all services, but specialise in lived-in colour, blonde balayage & copper.

Hi, I’m Nen

I am originally from Cambodia and moved to New Zealand 2008. I’m a mum of 4 beautiful children, Eva, Sam, Dougal and Danielle. I spend half of my time in the salon doing hair for my amazing and wonderful clients, and the other half on our farm with my husband Ewen breeding horses.

I trained to be hairdresser in 2015 at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology in Taupō and have been working as hairdresser since.

What I love about being a hairdresser is being able to plan and create a custom colour, cut and style to suit my clients amazing features. Witnessing my clients smiling and happy, and feeling good about themselves is so rewarding and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
